Meet Viona

A house can hold you, or it can hold you back.

Viona has spent her career learning the difference.

Originally pursuing an engineering degree, Viona discovered a passion for one-of-a-kind vintage pieces in small-town shops and flea markets in Texas. What began as a passion soon became a business, driving her 1971 VW Bug (and sometimes riding her 1979 Vespa) to transport and curate unique treasures.

Her fascination with revitalizing overlooked extended beyond objects and into architecture. Taking on fixer-uppers as personal design experiments, she developed an instinct for spotting potential in imperfect homes. This passion evolved into high-end interior design, leading her to renowned Bay Area architecture and design firms, where she deepened her appreciation for craftsmanship, materiality, and luxury home design.

Every space is shaped with intention, curating architecture, interiors, and personal artifacts into a cohesive dialogue. Spatial flow, thoughtful material selection, and intentional contrast create spaces that feel authentic, lived-in, and deeply personal. Rather than applying a singular style, Viona draws from a home's existing architectural cues, respecting its history while crafting a design evolution that feels authentic, never forced.

For Viona, design is a balancing act of storytelling and craftsmanship, where a warm modernist sensibility serves as a lens to filter each client's distinct narrative. She starts with a conversation, listening to the things that have been bothering you about your own home. She sees a house the way an architect reads a building and an interior designer reads a room, considering the site, the light, the architecture, and the people who will live inside it as one story.

Viona’s Vision

No two homes get the same answer. Every decision comes from the people who live there and the place itself.

Viona doesn't design houses. She designs the feeling of coming home.
